Plane Spotting at London Stansted Airport, STN | February 9th 2026

My first trip of 2026 involved a day trip to London Stansted Airport (STN) to do some plane spotting. Having seen that Ryanair had a sale on with flights being £14.99 each way, I just had to book a day trip to Stansted Airport to plane spot as it had been over 2 years since my first visit & I was eager to visit for a second time! This day trip was on Monday 9th February 2026 & I only booked the trip just 6 days in advance. Once I landed at Stansted, I took an uber over to Belmer Road & spent roughly 7 hours doing some filming before heading off to get some food & head back to the terminal for my flight home. London Stansted Airport is definitely a very interesting airport for plane spotting. While yes, it’s mostly Ryanair (as Stansted is a base for Ryanair) as well as other low cost airlines, the airport sees quite a lot of wide bodies like 747s & 777s on a regular basis, & luckily for me I visited on one of the days that a 747 was doing a weekly visit, with an airline called AirZeta, which I had never heard of before but they are from South Korea.
