Plane Spotting at Copenhagen Airport, CPH | February 2026

During February 2026, I visited Copenhagen for 1 night & while there I did some filming at the danish capitals airport. After arriving there on Tuesday 24th February I made my way over to Flyvergrillen which is a spotting location which gives off a decent view of runway 22R/04L as it’s right by that runway. At this spot there is a spotting mound with a few benches & also a little diner, as well as a play area. You can also see the adjacent runway, 22L/04R, right next to it so you can see both arrivals & departures. I spent a few hours filming the traffic there & while there the airport switched from using runways 22L & 22R to using 04L & 04R. The following day on Wednesday 25th February, I ventured back out to Flyvergrillen to see the only A330-800 in the Air Greenland fleet, however Flyvergrillen sadly didn’t open until after the Air Greenland departed so I had to improvise by just filming through the fence. So obviously not the best footage but I had to work with what I could & I’m glad I got to see it. After seeing the Air Greenland departing, I made my way to one of the car parks near the terminal & filmed arrivals on approach to runway 22L. After a few hours filming arrivals I made my way back to the terminal to wait for my flight home. A nice night away to a new city, new airport, & new country for me.
