Camino Portuguese from O Porrino, Spain to Redondela, Spain. Stage 2. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL THANK YOU Today's hike/walk is 15.30 km, 9.50 miles. Well guess what! We actually ended up walking 12.6 miles at the end of the day. By the time we get to our albergue, shower, and go out for dinner and see the sights, we've added on extra mileage. Most of the Camino today was pavement, and yes, there was a lot of uphill. Nothing severe, but I am really happy that I wore my oboz hiking shoes. They kept my feet comfy. I realized that I overpacked and wasn't happy with myself for doing that. I'll explain later in the next few videos. We stopped at Taperia Flora on the Camino in Mo's. Here's the address if you want to go there. They had fresh eggs and bacon along with some great coffee. Camiño da Rúa, 12, 36415, Mos As we got closer to Redondela, we notice a lot more pilgrims than yesterday. Maybe they came from another route, but it was noticeable. We are from the USA and we didn't hear anyone speaking English on most of the route and since I speak Spanish fluently, I communicated with fellow pilgrims and had a fabulous day! So many pilgrims from Spain and Portugal on this Camino. We walked through some wonderful shady areas, and through the Mamoa do Coto De Gran, which in translation is: Galicia, Spain, is known for its wealth of prehistoric tombs, particularly megalithic structures like dolmens. These tombs, primarily dating to the Neolithic period, are scattered throughout the region and offer insights into the burial practices and culture of early inhabitants. Interesting. We saw ducks, geese, chickens and horses. Lots of beautiful vineyards and lots of chestnut trees.
