Two days out in nature. I arrive at the lake in the afternoon. The rain has already begun and stays with me for hours. Strong winds, repeated heavy showers, and in between, setting up camp and preparing for a night by the water. This is not just about carp fishing. It is about stepping away from everyday life for a while and focusing on the simple things. Outdoors, you improvise. You work with whatever the moment gives you. Not everything has to be perfect. It just has to work. After a night full of rain, the second day begins quietly. Blue hour by the lake, a fire and hot tea. Later, chicken is grilled over the open fire as the first rays of sunlight break through the trees. The evening before, I prepared beef steak with mushrooms and spring onions. Then the rods go out once more before I slowly pack everything away and leave this little place by the water behind.
