End Times and Disability

Revelation 21:4 Hey everyone! In this video we are looking at a verse that promises the complete end of sorrow, pain, and death. "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." - Revelation 21:4 This is one of the most comforting verses in all of Scripture. John gives us a glimpse of the new heaven and the new earth, where God will dwell with His people forever. And in that place, He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Notice how personal this is. God Himself will wipe away our tears. He does not delegate it. He does not send an angel. He comes close. He touches our faces. He removes every trace of sorrow. This is the tender, intimate love of our Father. And then we get a list of everything that will be gone forever: no more death, no more mourning, no more crying, no more pain. These are the four great enemies of humanity. Death separates us from those we love. Mourning fills our hearts with grief. Crying expresses our deep sorrow. Pain reminds us of our brokenness. But in God's new creation, all of these will be abolished. The old order of things has passed away. A new order has begun. A world without sin, without suffering, without death. A world where we will live in perfect fellowship with God and with one another forever. This promise is the ultimate hope of every believer. It is what keeps us going through the trials and sorrows of this life. We know that our present suffering is temporary. We know that a day is coming when every tear will be wiped away.
