Romans 15:4 Hey everyone! In this video we are looking at a verse that explains why the Scriptures were written and what they produce in our lives. "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope." - Romans 15:4 Paul reminds us that the Old Testament Scriptures were not written just for the people of ancient times. They were written for us. Every story, every command, every prophecy, every psalm was preserved by God to teach us something about who He is and how He works. And what do the Scriptures produce in us? Two things: endurance and encouragement. Endurance is the strength to keep going when life is hard. Encouragement is the comfort that lifts our spirits when we are weary. Both come from spending time in God's Word. And the goal of it all is hope. Not a vague optimism, but a confident expectation rooted in the character of God. When we read the stories of God's faithfulness in the past, we are reminded that He will be faithful in the future. When we see how He delivered His people, provided for them, and kept His promises, we can trust that He will do the same for us. This verse challenges us to stay rooted in Scripture. When we are discouraged, when we are weary, when we are tempted to give up, the Word of God is there to strengthen us, comfort us, and fill us with hope. Question for you: Are you consistently reading and meditating on God's Word? How has Scripture given you endurance, encouragement, and hope in your life? Let's talk about it in the comments! #Romans15v4 #Scripture #Endurance #Encouragement #Hope #GodsWord #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving
