JonBenét Ramsey's brother finally speaks — but the unsealed 2013 grand jury files reveal something nobody expected about John and Patsy Ramsey. On October 20, 2013, attorneys for John Ramsey sent a letter to Boulder County District Attorney Stan Garnett objecting to the release of a 1999 grand jury indictment against John Ramsey and Patsy Ramsey that then-DA Alex Hunter never signed. The twist: Ramsey's lawyers, Harold Haddon and Bryan Morgan, didn't want the document kept sealed — they demanded the entire grand jury record be unsealed, or none of it. Judge J. Robert Lowenbach ultimately ordered only four pages released, two counts each against John Ramsey and Patsy Ramsey: child abuse resulting in death and an accessory charge, dated December 25–26, 1996. Burke Ramsey's name appears nowhere in those unsealed files. This video traces every documented stop where Burke Ramsey's name does appear across the JonBenét Ramsey case: a 1997 CBI lab report listing him among nine people excluded as a DNA source, a 1998 recorded police interview aired by A&E in 2016, the disputed 1999 grand jury testimony reported by The Denver Post and Newsweek, Mary Lacy's 2008 exoneration letter, his 2016 Dr. Phil interview, his $750 million defamation lawsuit against CBS, and the sealed terms of its 2019 settlement. We also cover Stan Garnett's October 2013 ruling, L. Lin Wood's objections, and the October 2025 subpoena fight over the case's first 48 hours that Judge Nancy Woodruff Salomone rejected. Every record in this case sits behind a different lock — grand jury secrecy, active-investigation statutes, or private settlement agreements — held by different people. This video maps exactly who holds each key, what's actually public, and what's still sealed. Tell us in the comments which sealed JonBenét Ramsey document you'd want opened first, and who you think should be the one to open it. #JonBenetRamsey #TrueCrime #BurkeRamsey
