I Gave Pokémon Real Evolution (And You Can Play It)

Play Emerald Evolved in your browser: https://www.emeraldevolved.com/ Last time I gave Pokémon real genetics. This time I built the version you asked for in the comments, and made it playable in your browser. Every egg can mutate. Shiny is now a real mutation (1 in 16,384 per parent, about 1 in 8,192 per egg) and gets passed down. Colors come from both parents, and about 1 in 12 eggs shifts color. Size is genetic and shows up in battle. My biggest Wailmer is almost twice the size of a normal one. Followers walk behind you in their own colors and size. Real speciation. Breed for size long enough and your line can't have babies with wild Pokémon anymore. My Eevee line split off at generation 36, after 276 eggs (about 240 on average over 200 runs). I named the new species Moja. Play it with your own copy of Pokémon Emerald (US). The site patches it right in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. No ROMs are hosted or shared anywhere. Patch + source: https://github.com/IvanKuria/emerald-... If you make a new species, the website reads it from your save and you can name it. The first ones you make are going in the next video. How it was made: Built on pokeemerald-expansion (rh-hideout), the community decompilation of Pokémon Emerald. Every gameplay shot is the real patched game running. The breeding runs went through the game's own Day Care code. Mutations run at least 100,000 times faster than in nature, and the Day Care man stands in for animals choosing mates. The genes underneath work the way real ones do.
