How many Signs of The Cross should I make during Mass? @12calledsent

In this video I answer a viewer's question : "I see people making the sign of the cross in several parts of the Mass which is really confusing. Please make a video to settle this matter." For congregants, there are 2 "sets" of the sign of the Cross during Mass: I- The Required meaning all of us (including the main Celebrant) must make the sign of the cross at those points. All are lead by the man main celebrant. One at the beginning of the Mass to open the Mass and another at the end of Mass to close the Mass. The third required point is just before the priest or deacon proclaims the Gospel at this point , the Gospel reader makes 3 crosses on the words of the Gospel and at the same time the Congregants make three crosses: One on the forehead, another on the lips and a third over the heart asking God to be on their mind, lips and in their heart II- Optional. The sign of the Cross is a prays so one can use it during the Mass as they feel led. Also at entering and exiting the Church to bless oneself with Holy water or when the main celebrant makes a blessing during processon when sprinkling with Holy water.. #calledandset 1 #mass #signoftheCros #drmiriam
