Aunt Lois’s Wheaties Cookies - My Random Recipes: Cookies

Created by InShot https://v.inshot.com/invite Aunt Lois’s Wheaties Cookies 1 C. Shortening 1 C. Brown Sugar 1 C. Granulated Sugar 2 Eggs 2 C. Flaked, sweetened Coconut 2 C. Flour 1 t. Baking Soda 1/2 t. Baking Powder 1/2 t. Salt 1/2 t. Vanilla 2 C. Wheaties Preheat oven to 375*. Combine all ingredients, except Vanilla and Wheaties. Combine well. Add Vanilla, fold in Wheaties last. Place on cookie sheets. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until set and nicely browned. (I ended up baking my first batch 13 minutes, and the second batch for 13 1/2 minutes. I liked the bake on the 2nd batch better. I would place them farther apart and would bake them in 4 batches to give them more room to spread). I got 5 dozen out of the recipe.
