This run was started a few hours before halloween, the sudden increase in players could've very well contributed to the lag we experienced.
The twisted on the board was gigi

Team comp explanation:
Keep in mind that this is only for absolute top level gameplay, your average run does not need to be able to complete 400 floors in a day or survive as distractor waxwell with no speed trinkets and sprout as the only healer. This explanation is mostly here to show the absolute maximum amount of safety you can sacrifice for speed without it becoming unviable for wr runs and should not be utilized if that's not your goal.
I believe the team comp we used was optimal for world record attempts. You have two waxwells that can easily take twisteds from shellies due to their stealth, one sprout to distract grabbers on hard floors and help gather, and the rest are all shellies. You need at least 1 sprout so you don't have to fully rely on rng to get heals, more support than that is really not neccesary as we were able to survive fine for over 100 floor without sprout even with big lag problems and our deaths weren't avoidable even with sprout. His help with gathering also helps the shellies not get interupted on machines and since you'd need a third distractor more often later on anyways, sprout really doesn't lose that much speed over a 6th shelly as you'd think. We put scrapbook on him so he could easily take twisteds from shellies and bring them to waxwell or keep them himself. Alternatives like dog plush or train whistle wouldn't help with keeping the twisteds away from shellies as much and he doesn't extract enough to make magnifying glass worth taking. The reason we had one shelly with mag + part will be explained next
Barnaby crusher shelly:
Keep in mind that the strat we used in this run was nerfed during the halloween update as there is now a slight cooldown between coins giving machine completion. It still works, but you need to wait slightly longer with getting off and on the machine so it's slower overall. You also shouldn't use it for runs that are too long (like 300+) as the strategy ended up causing a lot of lag for our barnaby shelly.
Since we settled on a comp with 2 distractors, only 1 healer and no further support, we want the rest to be shellies for floor completion speed, so that ends up being 5 shellies. Instead of having the fifth shelly simply be less efficient than the others by going solo and not getting boosted or boosting as consistently or having a shelly trio that most likely will just make things more messy, we decided to have a totally new gameplan for our fifth shelly instead. They would use mag + part instead of mag + veemote and focus on barnaby machines, everyone else would completely ignore barnaby machines unless those were the only machines left and the barnaby shelly did the same but for normal machines. Any barnaby machine that gets spotted gets called out so the barnaby shelly knows exactly where to go. This strategy works because you can complete barnaby machines extremely quickly with mag + part by constantly grabbing the first coin, leaving the machine and going on it again and repeating that cycle. This strategy also doesn't rely on shelly's boost to be fast (barnaby shelly should never get boosted unless they're on last and it's not a barnaby, even with one boost it's not worth extracting normally over spamming the first coin), which makes it perfect for a shelly that doesn't fit within a duo. This strategy does require more communication than simply having a middle mag + vm shelly and won't be efficient if your team doesn't skip barnabies, so only use it with people that know and want to actively try out the strategy
Carpet rule:
Not really a strat, but just a rule we follow to prevent miscommunications after coming back from a break. If we're taking a break in the break room, we all stand off the rainbow carpet at ele and are not allowed to get on the carpet untill we're ready to play again. Once everyone is on the carpet, we all need to spin in circles at the same time to confirm again that everyone is here. This probably isn't the most important thing to put here, but I've ran out of other things and want to be really thorough with showing the strats we use
