5 Forgotten and Unique Warhammer Commander Deck Ideas: EDH Deckbuilding part 2

Today, we’re joining the Hive Fleet and building around some of the coolest Warhammer 40K Commander cards in Magic: The Gathering. In this video, I’m covering 5 unique EDH deck ideas inspired by Warhammer 40K, Tyranids, and one of Magic’s greatest villains: Nicol Bolas. This video is also made to tag along with my Nicol Bolas vs The Emperor of Mankind video over on my lore channel, where I break down Magic: The Gathering lore, Warhammer 40K lore, power scaling, and who would actually win in a fight between Bolas and the Emperor. For the Commander decks, we’re starting with a Magus Lucea Kane X-spells deck, using Tyranid synergies to copy massive X spells, ramp hard, and overwhelm the table with huge creatures and explosive value. Then we’re looking at a more competitive The Red Terror combo deck, built around damage triggers, counters, and ways to turn this terrifying Tyranid into a real win condition. After that, we’re going deep into a secret commander Genestealer Patriarch deck, focused on killing opponents’ creatures, stealing them, and turning the table’s own threats against them. Then we’ll cover a The Swarmlord aristocrats deck, using +1/+1 counters, sacrifice synergies, and cards like Master Biomancer to create a growing Tyranid engine that gets harder and harder to stop. And finally, we’re building a Nicol Bolas Archenemy Commander deck, designed to make you feel like the final boss at the table.
