Bro. Gene Fulcher's message for Sunday, October 11th. VICTORY IN JESUS – 2 Corinthians 2:14 1. God also promises in this verse that He will always cause believers to triumph no matter how severe the trial. 2. If God be for us, who can be against us? i. VICTORY OVER SATAN a. Satan is a loser. His days are numbered. b. It is a victory of faith. 1 John 5:4 NKJV – For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. ii. VICTORY OVER SIN a. We have been delivered from the penalty of sin. b. We are being delivered from the power of sin as we yield to the indwelling Holy Spirit. c. One day we will be delivered from the very presence of sin. iii. VICTORY OVER SORROW a. Nothing will ever disturb our peace & comfort in Heaven. b. Death will be swallowed up by life. We have it backwards here. When a believer dies on earth we are pone to think that death has swallowed up his or her life, but the opposite is true. Actually, life has swallowed up death! 2 Corinthians 5:4 NKJV – For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. iv. VICTORY OVER STRUGGLES -Philippians 3:21; 1 John 3:2 a. We will enjoy Victory over Satan. Revelation 21:4 NKJV – “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death , nor sorry, nor crying…”
