Spotting at Philadelphia International Airport Philadelphia International Airport Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Thursday March 26, 2015 http://www.zingeraviation.com This video covers an unplanned spotting trip to Philadelphia International Airport, when PHL was utilizing operations on the 27s and all aircraft seen here are arriving onto Runway 27R with a decent crosswind. This video features a trip to PHL that was done as a scramble, as I was alerted to a British Airways special that was due in much later than it was scheduled to arrive, and also would coincide with leaving work on time and attempting to get to PHL as quickly as possible in rush hour traffic. Needless to say, I got to the airport with about 15 minutes to spare to catch the British Airways 777 arriving. I decided that, while it took me just under 45 minutes to drive to PHL and would be about the same going home (if not, more), to stick around because a second British Airways flight - this being a 767-300ER operating BAW9605 - would be arriving after dark. In addition, several biz-jets were observed landing on 27R as well as many Piedmont Dash 8s. I was also caught way off guard when one of the Southwest arrivals after dark happened to be one of the specials I hadn't caught on video prior to this night. I had also tried to get aircrft coming in with lightning in the background, as thunderstorms were moving in along a cold front. All video seen here was shot between 6:13 PM and 8:36 PM and this covers 100% of the operations onto 27R during that time frame.
