Magic: The Gathering in 1998 Was WILD | Road to the Pro Reaction

We’re going back to 1998 for another look at the early days of competitive Magic: The Gathering! After the response to my last old-school Magic reaction, I wanted to dig even deeper into MTG history. This time I’m reacting to “Road to the Pro: 1998 World Championships,” a fascinating snapshot of what competitive Magic looked like more than 25 years ago. From the decks and cards to the tournament atmosphere, player interactions, and overall presentation, there’s a lot here that feels completely different from modern Magic. It’s incredible seeing how much the game—and competitive MTG as a whole—has changed over the years. If you enjoy classic Magic: The Gathering, old tournament footage, MTG history, or reaction videos, let me know what other vintage Magic events you’d like me to watch next! And if you were playing Magic back in 1998, I definitely want to hear your memories in the comments. #MagicTheGathering #MTG #OldSchoolMTG #MTGHistory #MagicTheGathering1998 #MTGWorldChampionships #CompetitiveMTG #ProTour #VintageMagic #MTGReaction
