THE ANATOMY OF ANSWERED PRAYERS — PT 4
Topic: Answered Prayers Are Meant to Return Glory to God
📖 Text: Luke 17:12–17
Answered prayer is not merely about receiving what you asked for; it is about giving God the glory for what He has done.
In Luke 17, ten lepers cried to Jesus for mercy, and all ten were healed. Yet, only one returned to give glory to God.
The miracle was received by ten, but thanksgiving came from only one.
This teaches us that God’s blessings must never become a reason to forget God. The testimony should point people back to the Testifier—the God who answered the prayer.
When God answers your prayer, do not allow the blessing to become greater than the One who blessed you. Return the glory to Him.
Answered prayers are meant to:
Reveal God’s faithfulness.
Magnify His name.
Draw us closer to His presence.
Become testimonies of His goodness.
Lead us into greater obedience and divine purpose.
When you fail to give God the glory for what He has done, you risk turning the blessing into an idol and closing your heart to the next dimension of His dealings.
The question is not only, “Did God answer my prayer?”
The greater question is, “After God answered me, did I return to give Him glory?”
Never let your testimony make you forget the Testifier.
🙏 Lord, give us hearts that will always return the glory to You!
