THE ABC OF CULTURE | PASTOR JOSEPH MBURU| 9TH AUGUST 2026.

What shapes the way we think, believe, behave and respond to the world around us? In this powerful sermon, “ABC of Culture,” Pastor Joseph Mburu explores how culture is built on ideas, beliefs, values, behaviors and shared interpretations and how these foundational “building blocks” can either be rooted in God’s truth or influenced by lies. Drawing from Romans 12:1–2, Colossians 2:8, John 8:44, 1 Corinthians 2:16, Philippians 2:5–8 and other Scriptures, the sermon challenges us to examine the cultural beliefs we have accepted and learn to distinguish biblical truth from deceptive worldviews. In this sermon, we explore: 🔹 The basic principles that shape culture 🔹 How ideas and beliefs become cultural building blocks 🔹 How Satan uses lies and deception to influence individuals, families and nations 🔹 Common lies that contradict God's truth 🔹 The dangers of a corrupted mind, ignorance and spiritual lukewarmness 🔹 Why renewing our minds is essential for transformation 🔹 What it means to have *the mind of Christ* 🔹 Practical ways to guard our minds and take every thought captive to Christ 🔹 How Christians can influence culture through the truth of God's Word The central challenge is simple but profound: Are the foundations of our thinking and culture built on God's truth—or on lies we have accepted without questioning? We are called to think straight, renew our minds, embrace the mind of Christ, and live out the truth we believe. 🙏May this message challenge you to examine your beliefs, renew your mind through God's Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform the way you think and live. “With a renewed and transformed mind you will be able to understand what God’s will is for your life, family and nations.” If this message blesses you, like, share, and subscribe for more sermons and teachings.
