Bruce Stewart: Pyramids at Giza / Ross School Grade 12 Lecture Series

Dr. Bruce Stewart discusses the Pyramids at Giza, looking at how the structure, arrangement and features of the pyramids reflect early Egyptian beliefs. Dr. Stewart is a Guest Scientist at the Department of Applied Science in Brookhaven National Laboratory. He is a Senior Scientist at Advanced Acoustic Concepts where he works on synthetic training systems for Navy sonar operators. He earned his B.S. from Stanford University, and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California. Since 1997, he has worked with teachers at Ross School to design and implement math and science curriculum integrated with cultural history in projects ranging from astronomy and the Egyptian pyramids to the tesseract and Cubism.
