I share my opinions on everything from comic book legends to their big screen adaptations. If you love comic book debates, rankings, and bold takes on your favorite superheroes and villains, you’re in the right place. Hawkman has been one of DC Comics’ most misunderstood superheroes for years, and honestly, a lot of the hate he gets feels undeserved. From the confusion surrounding his complicated continuity to people dismissing him without understanding what makes him interesting, Hawkman has struggled to get the respect he deserves. And we’ve seen this happen before with characters like Aquaman and Green Lantern. But if you actually take the time to explore Hawkman’s comic book history, you’ll find some genuinely great stories from writers like Geoff Johns, Robert Venditti, and Timothy Truman. At the heart of Hawkman’s mythology is reincarnation, a concept that connects his many lives, different identities, and centuries of adventures into something much more meaningful than people give it credit for. So what makes Hawkman such a fascinating DC superhero, and why has he been so misunderstood for so long? From his complicated origins and connection to Hawkgirl to the potential of his next live-action adaptation, it’s time to talk about one of DC’s most underrated heroes and why Hawkman deserves far more respect. ==Timestamps== 0:00 - Intro 01:52 - Hawkman is actually goated 04:58 - The Pitch 06:12 - The Core Concept 09:01 - Katar Deathbringer 12:26 - Continuity Made Simple 13:19 - Carter Hall Explained 14:59 - Katar Hol and Hawkworld 17:15 - Wild Past Lives 20:05 - Venditti Cosmic Web 23:42 - Hawkgirl: Tragic Romance 25:40 - Why Hawkman Matters 27:50 - Final Thoughts and Outro #comics #superheroes #marvelcomics #dccomics
