Welcome back to episode 5 of my passion project! 🖤🩸 Join me as we dive into Episode Five, where we explore Lestat’s complicated relationships with Gabrielle, Marius, Akasha, Louis and Armand. Through a trauma-informed lens, I unpack the psychology of loneliness, absence, attachment, abandonment and control, exploring what happens when we struggle to find harmony within ourselves and begin trying to create it around us instead. From Lestat’s search for connection and his relationship with Akasha, to Louis and Lestat’s complicated vampire bond, Armand’s relationship with Daniel, and the different ways our characters respond to the pain of absence, this episode asks what we do when something within us feels missing. As always, these videos are my own interpretations as a senior therapist specialising in trauma-informed practice. They're not intended to diagnose fictional characters - just to explore why these stories resonate so deeply with us. I'd love to hear your own interpretations in the comments (book readers and show-only watchers alike!). Just remember to hide any future spoilers. 🖤 Find out more about me here: https://linktr.ee/sheilafables If you require support for any themes discussed in this video, please reach out to a mental health professional. ✨ ~ Time Stamps ~ 00:00 Intro 03:20 Lestat’s Perfectionism and Control 06:21 Marius, Lestat and Those Who Must Be Kept 09:02 Louis, Regina and Claudia 11:54 Daniel and Armand 15:32 Lestat and Gabrielle 20:14 Louis and Lestat as Maker and Fledgling 23:21 Lestat and Akasha 27:55 - Armand and ‘Rest’ 30:27 Reflections ~ ~ Ambiment - The Ambient by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
