Blue Ridge Sunset, North Carolina — Art for Your TV | Painting Screensaver (1 Hour, Silent)

The closing piece of the gallery, and the second one that's mine twice over. This painting was made from a photograph I took from a moving car in the Blue Ridge on the evening of July 3, 2020: the sun bursting through cloud over the ridge, golden light flooding the sky, layered dark-green ridges, a wide pasture with a split-rail fence — and one tiny red barn sitting small in the center of all that glory. Painted here in the gallery's dramatic style, with the gold deepened the way that evening felt. A one-hour silent ambient loop for your television. NC Uncovered preserves North Carolina's true stories and places for the next generation — this series was made with my grandchildren in mind.
