What It REALLY Takes to Grow a Family Business | Vlogtober Day 13

Welcome back to Vlogtober Day 13! 🎃💗 Today I'm taking you behind the scenes of running our family's fence construction business as we spend a couple of days at a fencing industry expo! One thing I've learned about growing a business is that it's not just about landing more jobs. It's about building relationships, finding better systems, investing in your employees, and constantly looking for ways to improve. During this vlog, we're: Connecting with suppliers from across the country and giving feedback on products and service Sourcing new fencing materials for unique customer requests Exploring new software to modernize our estimating and project-building processes Learning about potential union opportunities Checking out tools that could help our installers work more efficiently Spending some much-needed time connecting with our team outside the office We've also recently added a purchaser to our team, which has already made a huge difference in our operations. Now we're looking ahead at what other positions and systems we need to support our next phase of growth. Working in a family business definitely has its challenges, but I love getting to show you the behind-the-scenes work that goes into building something bigger. Whether you're an entrepreneur, work in construction, are part of a family business, or just enjoy seeing what goes on behind the scenes, I hope you enjoy this one! 💬 LET'S CHAT: Have you ever worked with family?
