A storm reaches the old oak. Beneath its roots, Veles has sheltered a frightened herd. Perun has come to lead it home. Neither god will yield, and their argument becomes a battle that splits the tree and shakes the earth. Perun is the thunder god: fierce, direct, and certain the herd belongs beneath the open sky. Veles is the god associated with cattle and the world below: ancient, powerful, and determined to defend those who sought refuge with him. In this song, neither is simply a villain. Each believes he is protecting the herd. Three voices carry the story: a narrator witnesses the clash, Perun makes his demand, and Veles answers him. Dark Slavic pagan folk rock, deep male vocals, driving drums and a chorus built for the battle of gods. An original Velesa story inspired by the Perun-Veles conflict in Slavic mythology.
