ARCTIC NORWAY: A cable car and hike for these views - worth it?

Welcome to Part 1 of my Northern Norway photography adventure. After a delayed journey and a surprisingly difficult search for a celebratory drink in Tromsø, I begin my exploration of Arctic Norway by heading into the mountains above the city. From the heights of Tromsdalstinden, I photograph dramatic mountain ranges, snow-covered slopes and sweeping views across Tromsø and the surrounding fjords. Along the way I dodge crowds, navigate lingering ice fields, carry far too much camera gear, and attempt to capture one of Norway's most spectacular landscapes through the lens. Fortunately, the day ends in a far more civilised fashion... with a well-earned Norwegian beer.
