Wire Lane Level Crossing, Camperdown, Victoria, Australia

This is the Wire Lane level crossing in Camperdown, Victoria, Australia. This level crossing is located on the Warrnambool railway line. At the time I filmed the level crossing it was a flashing light setup, and was upgraded with boom gates in December 2023 as part of Stage 2 of the Warrnambool railway line upgrade. There is one track going through this level crossing which is broad gauge. This level crossing is maintained by V/Line The level crossing equipment consisted of: A Siemens Type 3 electronic bell on the north eastern flashing light signal. Westinghouse crossarms with older style Westinghouse LED lights. Level crossing ahead signs with an illustration of a level crossing signal. Level crossing ahead road markings with a rail diagram. There are rumble strips on the approach to the level crossing as well. Level crossing history: Flashing lights would’ve been installed in 2009.
