Made with creamy toor dal, fresh tomatoes, green chilies, garlic, tamarind and a fragrant tempering of mustard seeds, cumin, dried red chilies and curry leaves, this simple dish is full of comforting flavors. In this episode, you'll see the complete process from cooking and mashing the dal to preparing the tempering and serving it with hot steamed rice.
