During an F3B competition, the fuselage of my Device F3B glider broke, forcing me to carry out a quick repair right there at the flying field so I could continue flying. After the competition, it was time for a proper repair. In this video, I take you through the entire process of repairing the damaged fuselage, from removing the electronics to the final reassembly. I remove the servos, receiver and battery, carefully sand down the damaged area, and reinforce the fuselage with Kevlar from both the outside and the inside. This is a detailed, hands-on repair with all the important steps shown in real time. I deliberately keep even repetitive tasks, such as sanding with a Dremel, at normal speed. I enjoy watching this kind of work myself, and I believe there is a lot to learn from seeing how things are actually done rather than watching nothing but time-lapses. Whether you fly F3B, build competition gliders or simply enjoy practical composite repairs, I hope this video gives you some useful insights into the process.
