In this episode the Advent Defense League responds to a video by Mike Colburn, who argues that ADL and others are guilty of eisegesis rather than proper exegesis. Mike presents nine clips from ADL and Amazing Facts Philippines, spanning 2022–2026, and argues that although the speakers appeal to context, original languages, concordances, and lexical tools, they do not consistently follow the interpretive method they claim to use. He also raises questions about consistency—especially when similar kinds of texts are treated differently depending on the doctrine under discussion. In this response, we will examine those claims carefully and ask the central question: Are these examples really eisegesis—or is there more going on in the interpretation of these passages? We will look at the actual arguments, the contexts of the passages, the use of Greek and Hebrew tools, lexicons, concordances, and the interpretive principles being applied. Our goal is not merely to answer accusations, but to test the method itself. At ADL, we believe every interpretation should be open to examination. If a method is sound, it should survive scrutiny.
