RAF Puma 50th Anniversary Flypast | July 2021

To celebrate 50 years of the Puma in RAF service, nine of the type flew a nationwide flypast. The Puma has been involved in many high-profile operations including, until very recently, Operation Toral in Afghanistan. The aircraft is expected to remain in RAF service for a few more years before being retired at the end of a very distinguished service career. The footage in this video starts at RAF Benson - where the last two remaining Puma squadrons (33 & 230) are based. Having watched them depart, we then headed to RAF Odiham in Hampshire to see them arrive and depart twice.
