An afternoon-to-night walk through Kyojima in Sumida, Tokyo — one of the city's best-preserved old neighborhoods, where wooden row houses and narrow lanes survived the war. From Keisei-Hikifune Station we pass Denki-yu, a retro public bath, then stroll Kirakira Tachibana Shopping Street past Hatoya Bakery and Tamaru Inari Shrine. As evening falls we wander the old lanes, wait at a Tobu Kameido Line crossing, and continue past the Edo Komon Museum and Miwasato Inari Shrine ("Konnyaku Inari") into Yahiro, finishing on the Arakawa riverbank as a train crosses the bridge in the dark. No talking, no music — just the sounds of the town. Route: Keisei-Hikifune Station → Arakawa Riverbank Weather: Sunny, 22°C / 72°F, filmed in October 2026 Turn on captions (CC) for a few quiet notes along the way.
