Melbourne's BEST Colombian food!

We set out to explore some of Melbourne's most authentic Colombian food, and we were blown away! Our first stop is Mr Gonzo in Brunswick, where we try one of Colombia's most iconic dishes—Lechona. This slow-cooked pork is packed with flavour, but the real surprise is the crackling. It was easily one of the crispiest, crunchiest cracklings we've ever had! Next, we head to Lores Kitchen in South Melbourne, a family-run restaurant that instantly makes you feel like you've stepped into Colombia. Here we try the famous Mondongo Soup, a hearty traditional soup with one unexpected twist... you add banana! It sounded strange at first, but the sweet banana paired perfectly with the rich, savoury broth and ended up being one of the highlights of the day.
