Dragon Quest 2 [Switch] - Casual Playthrough

"DRAGON QUEST II" © 1987, 2019, Armor Project / Bird Studio / Spike Chunsoft / Square-Enix - All Rights Reserved ========================================= Note: Might have to mute some music in spots eventually as I did get a couple legitimate claims on this vid. We'll see. Recorded from April 22nd to 27th last year, this is a twelve-segment run of a game that likes to kick you when you're down and punch you in the gut if you aren't. The Switch port of "Luminaries of the Legendary Line" is based off the 2014 mobile version. Once again, this is only meant to be a casual run. Shame the game sometimes forgets that fact as it can be brutal at times. You'll see and read why with the benefit of light text commentary throughout our six-hour run. The first sequel to Dragon Quest released within a year of the original. This led to issues when it came to playtesting... as in not having any for the final third of the game originally. Oh. This and other earlier remakes allowed DQ2 to be seen in a more positive light, and for me, I'd put it above the original just by way of having a party to work with. Once again, I'd recommend any of the remakes over an NES copy of this game which can be even more unforgiving at times. Hopefully the upcoming HD-2D version will end up being the definitive way to play once it releases. For now, hope you enjoy our terrific trio's adventure to stop an evil demon uprising! I think we can do it... Maybe! 1 (Intro) - 0:00 2 (A Golden Start) - 5:20 3 (Around the Block for Cannock) - 10:49 4 (Lake Cave [Silver Key]) - 32:39 5 (Ticket to Victory [Loyalty Card]) - 45:04 6 (A Mirror-Ra-Culous Recovery [Ra's Mirror]) - 50:07 7 (Pillar of the Winds [Windbraker]) - 1:13:24 8 (To and Through Dragon's Horns [Celestial Skein]) - 1:32:07 9 (Rippleport [Ship]) - 1:47:10 10 (Alefgard: A Blast From the Past [Echo Flute]) - 1:54:23 11 (Castle Charlock Revisited [Erdrick's Sword]) - 2:00:33 12 (Ever Vigil for Any Sigils [Moon Sigil]) - 2:19:24 13 (Keys to Success [Gold, Jailor's, & Floodgate Keys]) - 2:25:48 14 (Bigtime Backtrack [Water & Soul Sigils + A Whole Lot More]) - 2:36:53 15 (The Lighthouse [Star Sigil]) - 2:57:28 16 (A Full Set [Sun Sigil]) - 3:23:01 17 (To the Moon...
