ScotRail – Mallaig to Glasgow Queen Street | 5h 15m Join me for the spectacular West Highland Line journey from Mallaig to Glasgow Queen Street, travelling with ScotRail on the 16:05 service from Mallaig, filmed on Monday 20 July 2026. This full-length journey takes us through some of the most dramatic railway scenery in Scotland, travelling from the west coast at Mallaig through the Highlands towards Glasgow. Along the way, the route crosses the world-famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, with views across the surrounding mountains, lochs and remote Highland landscape. An unusual feature of this particular journey occurred on the approach to Glasgow. Rather than taking the normal route directly into Glasgow Queen Street High Level, the train was diverted through Glasgow's suburban network, passing through several stations without stopping.
