What does faith look like when there isn’t enough? In 1 Kings 17:8–16, God sends Elijah to Zarephath, where he meets a widow preparing what she believes will be the last meal for herself and her son. She has almost nothing left—and yet God asks her to trust Him with what little she has. Her story reminds us that faith doesn’t mean our circumstances will always be secure. It means trusting that God is faithful even when they aren’t. It also reminds us that God’s provision isn’t meant to stop with us. God blesses His people so that His blessing can flow through them to others. The question isn’t simply, “Do I trust God to provide for me?” but, “Do I trust God enough to let Him use my life to provide what someone else desperately needs?” In this message from 1 Kings 17:8–16, we see how God uses ordinary people, unlikely circumstances, and simple obedience to accomplish His purposes—and how the story ultimately points us to the provision we have received in Christ.
