It's NOT Jalen Hurts' Fault! 😓 Steve Smith Explains Eagles Struggles

Why is Jalen Hurts refusing to throw over the middle of the field? Steve Smith Sr. goes to the tape to diagnose the Eagles' broken offense! 🦅 The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-3, and the panic alarm is ringing in the City of Brotherly Love. Following a disastrous late-game special teams collapse against the Jaguars, Steve Smith Sr. and James Palmer evaluate Nick Sirianni's accountability and why players missing their rush lanes deserve just as much blame as the head coach. The real problem, however, is Sean Mannion's struggling offense. Steve hits the film room to break down why Jalen Hurts leads the league in avoiding the middle of the field (a league-low 17% target share) and how that hesitancy is making the Eagles' passing attack incredibly predictable. Agent 89 also highlights the severe impact of missing DeVonta Smith, who was dominating isolation alignments, and evaluates the frustrating usage of rookie Makai Lemon, questioning why the Eagles are forcing their slowest receiver to run vertical routes instead of letting him work the slot. Plus, the guys discuss the compounding issues of a 43% pressure rate and an offensive line desperately trying to find its footing after major offseason departures.
