I'm Yosaku who lives in Osu, Nagoya. I went to "Tai Honke" in Nishimatabei-cho, Minami-ku, Nagoya City. It is an izakaya (Japanese-style bar) serving live fish in an inconspicuous location in a town with a mixture of houses and factories. The owner is from Oita Prefecture, so you can enjoy Oita's local cuisine, which is rare in Nagoya. The fresh seafood is inexpensive and delicious. It is a 5-6 minute walk from the nearest station, Oe Station on the Meitetsu Tokoname Line (Chikko Line), and there is a parking lot on the west side of the restaurant. In addition to seafood, the restaurant offers an izakaya (Japanese style bar) menu and set menus, and is open for lunch on weekdays for a reasonable price.
