Morning prayer to cast your burdens on the Lord: a slow, guided prayer of more than thirty minutes for anyone who woke up already carrying a weight. You will be led gently through naming what is heavy, setting it in God's hands, and stepping into your day accompanied. Some mornings the weight is there before the alarm. In this prayer, built around Psalm 55:22 in the King James Version, "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee," we take that verse as an invitation to let go and be held, not as a demand to be strong. Together we will: • Look at the setting where David wrote this psalm, and why it still speaks today • Say good morning to the Father and name the burdens we carry • Be honest about the strength we pretend to have • Pause to quiet the mind and body with slow breathing • Release old hurts that follow us into new days • Place today's plans, conversations, and worries in God's care • Receive a closing blessing before we go There is room for you here whether your faith feels strong, thin, or barely there. Take your time, pause the video whenever you need, and return to any section. Prayer is a companion for hard days, not a replacement for care. If your burdens include anxiety, deep sadness, grief, or illness, please also lean on trusted friends, family, your pastor or church community, and a doctor or licensed counselor.
