My Messy Life | Episode 7 - Harvest Days, Preserving & Life on the Farm

Welcome back to My Messy Life! In this episode, I'm sharing a few busy late-summer days here on the farm. We start out with a very real-life messy kitchen 😂 before getting things cleaned up and putting some preserved food away. Then it's back to the gardens, where there are peas and beets to harvest, cucumbers growing in the greenhouse, cabbage to water, and plenty more waiting to be done. I'm also making pickles, preserving beets, trying out my new canner, blanching and vacuum sealing peas, and taking another little peek into the pantry as it slowly fills up for winter. Along the way, I share some changes I'm hoping to make to my outdoor vegetable-washing area and garage greenhouse, while hubby keeps busy with haying and other farm work. There's also laundry on the line, cows to visit, supper to make, raspberries to rototill, and a little helper who seems much more interested in eating peas than shelling them. We finish the episode out in the fields with hubby, counting hay bales while the coyotes howl, the clouds roll by, and the sun goes down on another day here on the farm.
