What does it really mean to walk in the Spirit? In today’s Christward Daily morning devotion, we reflect on Galatians 5:16–26 and Paul’s powerful instruction: “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16 The Christian life involves a real conflict between the desires of the flesh and the leading of the Holy Spirit. But God has not left His children to fight this battle alone. He has given us His Spirit. Walking in the Spirit is not simply trying harder to avoid sin. It is learning to live each day in dependence upon God, submitting to His Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform our character. Paul describes the fruit of the Spirit as: Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control. So today, ask yourself: Which fruit of the Spirit is presently least visible in my life? And when the opportunity comes to exercise that fruit, remember: Walk in the Spirit. If you belong to Jesus Christ, you are not fighting sin in order to earn His acceptance. Salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Christ. Jesus Christ lived in perfect obedience to the Father, died for our sins, and rose again. We fight sin because we belong to Him. 📖 Scripture: Galatians 5:16–26 ✝️ Christward Daily — Day 5 🙏 Morning Scripture, Reflection & Prayer Yesterday: CHRIST IS OUR TREASURE.
