Today’s guest is American serial entrepreneur Lindon Gao, founder and CEO of Dyna Robotics. Before this, he had built two businesses, including one full-fledged startup. Dyna could be described as his fourth entrepreneurial venture.
In Silicon Valley, Dyna’s approach is very different from the pure “brain-first” research path pursued by Pi (Physical Intelligence), which has previously appeared on our show. Rather than starting with general intelligence and exploring the architecture of a robot’s brain, Dyna has chosen a “product research” approach: taking concrete workflows as the basic unit, starting from real-world tasks, and using them to drive the pretraining of its models.
The global robotics industry is still nowhere near a point of convergence. This is an extraordinarily long race—you cannot see the finish line, and sometimes you cannot even see clearly what lies around you. Every founder must find their own direction on this still-incomplete map, make critical decisions, and find their way back to themselves when they become lost.
Lindon also spoke about entrepreneurship as a process of inner cultivation. Sometimes, a real transformation takes place in a single shift of perspective.
In the past, he demanded that he become a “CEO who could never make mistakes.” But he later realized that it was precisely this fear of making mistakes that led him to “make many wrong decisions simply to avoid making mistakes.”
It was not until the end of last year that he finally made it through this difficult period.

在硅谷,Dyna和之前来过我们节目的Pi(Physical Intelligence)的纯大脑研究路线非常不一样。
