Ep. 05 • A Day in Bir - Beyond the Paragliding | Cafe Hopping, Monasteries & Local Culture

Day 5 of our Kangra Valley journey & Day 2 in Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh! 🏔️ After experiencing the Paragliding Capital of India on Day 1, we begin another day in Bir with breakfast at Pahadee Coffee Roasters before heading out to discover more of this beautiful mountain destination. Our day starts with a visit to Ahju Railway Station, followed by Palpung Sherabling Monastery near Bhattu village, a peaceful centre of Tibetan Buddhist learning, meditation and spirituality. Next, we stop at The Pizza Sessions in Bir for some pizza before visiting Nyingma Monastery, where we experience beautiful Tibetan Buddhist architecture, culture and traditions. As the day progresses, we head to the Bir Billing Landing Site to enjoy the sunset and capture a beautiful timelapse of the mountains. Later, we explore the local market, check out a local store, enjoy dinner and visit cafés around Bir for some café reviews. From morning coffee and railway heritage to Buddhist monasteries, local food, mountain sunsets and café hopping, this day captures another side of Bir Billing beyond paragliding.
