Fitting Cargo for a Trucking Dog — Hauling Dog Food Packaging to Texas

Welcome back to the channel! We're LIVE on October 14, 2026 — and today's load got our co-pilot a little too excited. We're hauling packaging material for dog food down to a pet food plant in Texas. Bodie heard "dog food" and got real interested... we had to break the news that it's the packaging, not the kibble! Let's roll! THE LOAD: We're loading this morning at 11:00 AM at Reynolds Warehouse in Joplin, Missouri — just up the road from our home base in Northwest Arkansas. The freight is packaging material used to package dog food: the bags, boxes, and containers it ships in, NOT the food itself (sorry, Bodie). It's a light load at around 13,000 pounds. We're taking it down to US Pet Food in Pittsburg, Texas, over in the northeast corner of the state, with delivery first thing tomorrow morning, October 15th, at 7:00 AM. About 333 miles. It's kind of a fun one for us — we've got an actual dog riding shotgun, hauling the packaging that'll end up holding dog food on a store shelf somewhere. Bodie takes his supervisory role very seriously on loads like this. We'll make it up to him with a treat at the truck stop. TODAY'S PLAN: We'll get loaded around 11:00 AM, then head south and make our miles down toward northeast Texas this afternoon and evening, shutting down for our break close to the receiver so we can roll in fresh for the early 7:00 AM delivery. TODAY'S ROUTE: We head south out of Joplin, down through the region and the border country of Arkansas and Oklahoma, and into the piney woods of northeast Texas to reach Pittsburg, which sits just south of Mount Pleasant. A pretty drive this time of year with the fall colors coming on across the Ozarks and Ouachitas. BODIE UPDATE: Our beagle pup Bodie ("Whitehead's Bodacious Bodie") is riding along and supervising as always — and he's convinced this entire load is a snack delivery meant for him.
