This week on Show Club, we're back with Weirdo 101, Moonshadow, and The Edge of Horizon to discuss the cutest date in mankind, sapphic emotional warfare, queer utopias, ex-girlfriends who refuse to stay exes, and doomed yaoi has kinda maybe officially beaten the allegations. We start with Weirdo 101, where Niran and Cheewa continue being one of the most painfully adorable pre-relationship situations currently on our screens. We're talking the friend group, the way the show treats queerness as completely normal, Niran's inability to process the fact that he VERY obviously likes Cheewa, Aston continuing to steal every scene he's in, and why this cast is making us want approximately seventeen spinoffs. Also... Will Jimmy and Chokun be on set???? Then Moonshadow decides subtlety is for cowards. Jay is back and very much trying to reclaim her woman, Key is standing directly in the middle of an increasingly messy sapphic situation, Chen is clearly still carrying some serious emotional baggage from her past relationship, and Sun appears to have firmly joined Team Key. Basically, everyone needs therapy and we need the next episode immediately. And finally: The Edge of Horizon finale. We get into what worked, what didn't, the massive production jump we've seen from One31, Tin and Phob's ending, the politics and historical setting, the choices around its female characters, and why the more we love a show, the more aggressively we will pick apart every tiny detail.
