Exploring Canta Feat. Ruins of Cantamarca and Catarata Gochopampa

Welcome to the sixth episode of our Lima-Cullhuay Trip series. In this episode, we'll explore Canta more and its local attractions. This video features Mirador San Pedro, Ruinas de Cantamarca (Ruins of Cantamarca), Catarata Gochopampa (a waterfall near Cantamarca), the small town of Obrajillo, and Canta's Plaza de Armas. There's an entrance fee for entering the waterfall site. We paid 6 soles each. If you don't want to pay to see the waterfall, you can simply admire it from afar. The water is pretty visible even from a distance. As for Cantamarca, no entry fee applies. However, having your own transport to get there is essential since it's quite remote and is located high up in the mountains. Alternatively, you can hike to Cantamarca by starting your journey from the road that connects Canta to San Felipe de Cullhuay. After visiting Obrajillo, my friends and I had lunch in Canta. My lunch cost me only 20 soles. The video ends with us arriving at Machu Picchu Limeño. In the next-- also the last--episode, we'll cover Machu Picchu Limeño.
