I Made A Movie About My Biggest Artistic Endeavor: Chateau Souvenirs, Week 2 at Chateau D'Orquevaux

I lived in a fairytale castle in france for one summer at an artist residency. This is a didactic film about my first week at Chateau D'Orquevaux: The highest rated artist residency in the world. As long as I can remember I had always been told I would love France. I spent 4 days before the residency exploring the many landmarks of Paris (see Paris Souvenirs) with my parents for art inspired by Denis Diderot. He was an author and first editor of the first encyclopedia during the French Enlightenment, and he was a big fan of art. His heirs used to own the Chateau, it was passed down for generations until it became a residency for artists and writers from around the world in 2018. That was the year I first heard about the opportunity to go there for 3 weeks and I applied the next 6 years to get there. I went to hear the stories of each artist from around the world, to swim in the reservoir, and the leave a body of work to the permanent collection of the Chateau. This was the trip of my lifetime and I wanted to make the most of it.
