The Beatles GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE (Take 8 New Vocals Mix) An Alternate Studio Evolution

A newly reconstructed mix of The Beatles' Got To Get You Into My Life, blending Take 8 with the unnumbered second version from the Revolver Super Deluxe Edition sessions—revealing a powerful alternate studio evolution. Headphone listening is highly recommended! The Beatles began recording “Got To Get You Into My Life” on April 7, 1966, just after a creative session spent layering experimental effects onto “Tomorrow Never Knows.” Recording continued the following day with two additional takes, with Take 8 marked as “best.” A guitar overdub was added to Take 8 on April 11. Work on this Motown-influenced track resumed on May 18, when a brass section and vocals were recorded, including backing vocals by John and George. Additional guitar overdubs were also added during this session. A further guitar passage was recorded on June 17. By the time final mixing was completed on June 22, John and George’s backing vocals had been removed. This version combines elements from those sessions, along with Paul’s double-tracked vocal from Giles Martin’s 2022 mix, to create a highly charged listening experience. You’ll hear significantly more guitar—parts that were later reduced or buried in the final mix—now flowing across the stereo soundstage. John and George’s backing vocals are also presented in stereo for the first time, having only been available in mono on the Super Deluxe edition. Be sure to keep listening after the fade-out, where a touch of classic Beatles-style studio flair has been added—something that has never appeared on any official version.
