I'm 25, and I'm a freelancer from Tokyo. This is a morning in Shimoda, a small town on the Izu Peninsula, about 3 hours from Tokyo. The house is over 100 years old. No bed, no air conditioner, no gas. If we want hot water, we make a fire. My friends and I stay here sometimes and help fix it up, and this was one of my first mornings there. I don't live like this every day. Most days I'm in Tokyo, working in front of a laptop and eating lunch I don't even look at. That's exactly why one morning like this does something to me. So tell me in the comments. What does your morning look like? Do you have time to sit and eat, or do you run out the door like I do in Tokyo? I read every comment, and I'm curious how mornings work in your country.
