THE BOG PIXIE

After getting stuck in cyberspace, I figured it was probably time to step away from technology for a minute and make something with my hands. So this time I decided to build a Bog Pixie. This whole project started with a sketch and a jar, then slowly turned into a full creature sculpt made from armature wire, Cosclay, a lot of trial and error, and more baking cycles than I care to count. I sculpted and painted the entire creature by hand, worked out a set of translucent wings after several spectacular failures, built him a tiny habitat, and turned an ordinary jar into something that looks like it came out of a very questionable natural history collection. A huge inspiration for this build was **Odd Little Workshop**. I originally found their work on Instagram and absolutely love the strange little creatures and specimens they create.
