This week's visit to Griff's Magic Theatre is a little different. Instead of twenty-odd records, there are just seven. Some songs are so big, so strange, or so full of ideas that they need room to breathe. Rather than rushing from one record to the next, I thought we'd slow things down and let each one have its moment. It's a journey that begins with Pink Floyd, wanders through the psychedelic streets of The Deviants and The Paisleys, pauses for the extraordinary power of Jimi Hendrix, takes in a little boogie from Canned Heat, enjoys a burst of irresistible 60s pop from The Newbeats, and finally drifts away with Nektar's remarkable Remember The Future. So tonight, the theatre isn't crowded. There are only seven performers. But every one of them has something worth saying. I hope you enjoy the show.
