Home Front WW2 - The Fire Watcher

During the war, many people on the Home Front wanted to 'do their bit' and help to keep people safe. One of the lesser known roles was that of the Fire Watcher. Men and women volunteered to spend long, tedious hours guarding important buildings, their workplaces and streets from the threat of incendiary bombs.
